Selecting Your Recipients

By default, your newsletter will go to the email address associated with your account. This makes it super-easy to send yourself a draft of each newsletter before you send the final version to one of your Mailchimp or Constant Contact lists.

But we strongly recommend using an Email Service Provider (ESP) such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact. Mailchimp in particular is free up to 2,000 subscribers and offers great reliability in delivering your emails and analytics around who is opening them and what they’re clicking on.

If you use another ESP (such as Emma or SendInBlue), you can just copy-and-paste the HTML from your newsletter into that provider’s interface.

Connecting Your ESP Account

Connecting your ESP account takes literally just three clicks. First, click the link to connect the ESP of your choice.

On the next screen log in to your ESP account and authorize our Newsletter Service to access it.

When you return to your newsletter, your lists will automatically populate in the recipients menu. Click the and choose the one you’d like to send to.

The From: Address

To ensure all emails are sent from a functioning, authentic email account, this field is not editable. If you’re sending your newsletter yourself, this address will be the one you used when you signed up for our service.

If you send to a list you created at your Email Service Provider, the From: address will be the one you specified in your ESP account.

To change your From: address at Mailchimp,

  1. Log in to Mailchimp
  2. Click your name at the top righthand corner
  3. Select Account from the dropdown menu
  4. On your account screen, click Settings, and then choose Contact Information from the dropdown menu
  5. Update the email address to the one you want your newsletters to come from

To change your From: address at Constant Contact,

  1. Log in to Constant Contact
  2. Click the account icon at the top righthand corner
  3. Look for the box called Signature Information
  4. Click Edit Signature Info
  5. Choose a different Signature Email Address, or Verify an additional address
  6. Click Save

Scheduling Your Newsletter

The ability to schedule your newsletter at future date or time is yet another reason to sign up with an ESP and connect your account.  Once you select a list, you’ll have the option to send your newsletter immediately, or change the delivery time to one of your choosing.


To schedule your newsletter, first click “Change” its timing. Next, choose your preferred date and time and click the Schedule button.

If you change your mind, you can always click Undo to start over again.
