Nextdoor has somewhat quietly built a high-engagement social network. After rolling out business listings a few months ago, they’re now starting to monetize the real estate sector. I could see this being very successful in mid-size and smaller markets, and in markets where a heavy percentage of NextDoor users are renters…which basically includes most of the country!
Google My Business opened a new feature last week to a wide swath of industries: the ability for customers to book appointments directly from the Knowledge Panel. Phil Rozek spent some time with it and offers as complete a primer as I’ve seen.
